Candi Brahu

Candi Brahu terletak di Dukuh Jambu Mente, Desa Bejijong, Kecamatan Trowulan, Kabupaten Mojokerto. Tepat di depan kantor Suaka Peninggalan Sejarah dan Purbakala Jawa Timur yang terletak di jalan raya Mojokerto-Jombang terdapat jalan masuk ke arah utara yang agak sempit namun telah diaspal. Candi Brahu terletak di sisi kanan jalan kecil tersebut, sekitar 1,8 km dari jalan raya. Nama candi ini, yaitu ‘brahu’, diduga berasal dari kata wanaru atau warahu. Nama ini didapat dari sebutan sebuah bangunan suci yang disebut dalam Prasasti Alasantan. Prasasti tersebut ditemukan tak jauh dari Candi Brahu.

Brahu Temple is located in Jambu Mente Hamlet, Bejijong Village, Trowulan District, Mojokerto Regency. Right in front of the East Java Historical and Archaeological Asylum office which is located on the Mojokerto-Jombang highway, there is an entrance to the north which is a bit narrow but has been paved. Candi Brahu is located on the right side of the small road, about 1.8 km from the highway. The name of this temple, namely ‘brahu’, is thought to have come from the word wanaru or warahu. This name is derived from the designation of a sacred building which is mentioned in the Sarantan Inscription. The inscription was found not far from Brahu Temple.
